I want to challenge you, and myself, to take care of your body this Thanksgiving season. Here are a few ways we can not overload ourselves tomorrow:
- If you see many things that you know you will want to eat, or try for the first time, keep your portions small. Try one spoon full for each food item.
- Drink water with your meal instead of soft drinks or alcohol.
- Try not to feel pressured into eating dessert just because others are doing it.
- If you want dessert, eat it with your meal and not after. That way, you aren't consuming way more than the button on your pants can handle.
- Try to keep the conversation minimal while eating so you will avoid automated fork-in-mouth syndrome.
So, eat to your health, make memories with your family, and be Thankful for the body that God gave you. Treat it well :-)
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
-Sarah
